Pulmonary/respiratory Medicine

The department of Pulmonary medicine provides a world-class service in the diagnosis and management of various Respiratory Diseases like Asthma, COPD, Pneumonia, Interstitial Lung Disease, Lung Cancer, Tuberculosis and Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders. There is coordination with CT and Ultrasound Department for imaging-guided drainage and biopsies. The department also conducts Bronchoscopy and Pulmonary function test. Management of pleural disorders like diagnostic and therapeutic pleural aspirations, intercostal tube insertions, pig tail catheter drainage and thoracoscopy is carried out here.
